Here at Greener Living, our absolute top priority during the recent Covid outbreak is the safety and protection of our staff, customers and suppliers. We are taking every measure we can to ensure a safe and controlled environment so that we can continue to operate and provide support to all our existing customers that require our assistance and all of our new customers wishing to upgrade their home heating systems. We believe in complete transparency and integrity with our policies to ensure customer safety so you can find some of our safety measures listed below.

Sensible working during the Covid outbreak…

One of the most effective measures that we have taken is that all staff who can work from home are doing so. This is to help reduce the physical volume of staff that we have present at our offices but they can still be reached by customers that need assistance, and we can continue to offer terrific service and support to our current customers. This allows for a much safer working environment for our staff that must maintain a physical presence, such as our fantastic team who runs our warehouse and ensure our supply chain runs smoothly, our team of engineers, plumbers and electricians who are on hand to service all of your Air Source Heat Pump needs and requirements.

Covid

Hands, face, space…

As stated in the governments Covid-19 guidelines, all workers are required to social distance, wear a mask and frequently sanitize their hands. We have also implemented advanced cleaning precautions in our offices and warehouses which are being deep cleaned on a daily basis for our workers who cannot physically work from home. Surfaces are bleached and all door handles are cleaned regularly. Due to our working from home precautions, our social distancing policies are easily followed by our staff to keep them safe.

Safer installations & servicing of Air Source Heat Pumps…

In line with the government guidelines, updated on the 6th of January 2021 following the announcement of the latest national lockdown, heating and hot water has been deemed a necessity and therefore installations and servicing can continue, however, stringent safety measures must be followed by our engineers to ensure a Covid-19 safe environment. These measures include and are not limited to wearing face coverings at all times, following social distancing guidelines wherever possible and also the frequent sanitization of their hands and workspace wherever possible.

What is the official government advice on working during a Covid outbreak?

The following advice has been issued by the UK on the following matter – “Work carried out in people’s homes, for example by tradespeople carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the tradesperson is well and has no symptoms. Again, it will be important to ensure that Public Health England guidelines, including maintaining a two-metre distance from any household occupants, are followed to ensure everyone’s safety. No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so. In such cases, Public Health England can provide advice to tradespeople and households. No work should be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild”

Greener Living commits to upholding these values and procedures set out by the UK government and the Construction Leadership Council to do our part in helping to reduce the risks of Covid-19 to a minimum while providing support to all our customers as is our duty.
